Summary of Sunan Abi Dawud Hadith 1417
This narration carries the same meaning as the previous Witr prayer hadith through another chain from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud. It includes an added exchange: a Bedouin asked what was being said, and the reply was that it was neither for him nor for his companions. The core message still centers on Witr and the address to the people of the Qur'an. Readers searching for witr prayer hadith, people of the Quran pray witr, or Ibn Masud witr narration will find that this report gives a related wording and a small added detail. The safe explanation is not to guess why the Bedouin was answered that way. The text simply records the exchange and keeps the focus on Witr.
What we learn from this hadith
- The narration gives a similar meaning about Witr through Ibn Mas'ud.
- It includes an added exchange with a Bedouin.
- The main topic remains the call to observe Witr.
- The text does not explain the reason behind the added reply, so it should not be guessed.
