Summary of Sunan Abi Dawud Hadith 1487
This narration from Anas ibn Malik describes what he saw from the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) during supplication. He said that he saw the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) supplicating in this manner with the palms of his hands and also with their backs upwards. The report is brief, so the explanation should remain close to its wording. It records an observed action of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) in dua. Since other narrations in the same group mention asking with palms, this hadith adds that Anas saw both the palms and backs involved in the manner of supplication. This hadith is useful for users searching for dua hand position, raising hands in dua, and hadith about palms and backs in supplication.
