Summary of Sunan Abi Dawud Hadith 1494
This entry is another chain for the same report connected to Malik ibn Mighwal. Its added wording says, “He has asked Allah using His Greatest Name.” The hadith is brief, but its point is clear. It strengthens the focus on making dua by mentioning Allah in a way that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) described as His Greatest Name. Since the translation does not repeat the full supplication here, the explanation should not pretend this version contains more than it states. It is related to the previous narration where the dua included testimony to Allah’s oneness and perfect uniqueness. This hadith is helpful for people searching for Ism al-Azam, Allah’s Greatest Name hadith, and asking Allah by His names.
