Summary of Sunan Abi Dawud Hadith 1684
This hadith about the faithful trustee teaches that honesty in handling charity matters. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم describes a trustee who gives exactly what he is commanded to give, gives it completely, gives it with a willing heart, and delivers it to the person named for it. Such a trustee is called one of the two who gives sadaqah. The main lesson is simple: even when a person is not the original owner of the wealth, his faithful delivery has value. The search phrase “trustee reward in Islam” fits this hadith because the text is about trust, full delivery, and good will. Charity work needs honesty, care, and a clean heart.
What we learn from this hadith
- A trustee should deliver what he is told to give in full.
- Good will matters when carrying out a charitable duty.
- A faithful helper in charity can share in the reward of sadaqah.
