49/17. Chapter:
It is dislike to look down upon a slave
And also marry the Salihun (pious, fit and capable ones) of your (male) slaves and maid-servants (female slaves)... (V.24:32) And Allah said, "A slave (disbeliever) under the possession of another" (V.16:75) "... They both found her lord (i.e., her husband) at the door..." (V.12:25) "... believing girls [from among those (slaves) whom you right hands possess]..." (V.4:25) And the Prophet ﷺ said, "Get up for your master." Allah says: "...Mention me to your lord (i.e., your king so as to get me out of the prison)..." (V.12:42) (The Prophet ﷺ said), "And who is your master?"(1)

Narrated `Abdullah: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Everyone of you is a guardian and is responsible for his charges. The ruler who has authority over people, is a guardian and is responsible for them, a man is a guardian of his family and is responsible for them; a woman is a guardian of her husband's house and children and is responsible for them; a slave ('Abu) is a guardian of his master's property and is responsible for it; so all of you are guardians and are responsible for your charges."
