Sahih BukhariHadith Number 4098
Sahl bin Sa`d Narrated from:
We were with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in the Trench, and some were digging the trench while we were carrying the earth on our shoulders. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, 'O Allah! There is no life except the life of the Hereafter, so please forgive the Emigrants and the Ansar."

Summary of Sahih Bukhari Hadith 4098
This hadith about the Trench gives a simple scene of shared hardship. Sahl bin Sa'd says they were with Allah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم at the trench. Some were digging, while others carried earth on their shoulders. In that moment, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “O Allah! There is no life except the life of the Hereafter, so please forgive the Emigrants and the Ansar.” The hadith does not hide the hard work. It places that work beside prayer, forgiveness, and the Hereafter. For readers searching “no life except the Hereafter hadith,” this report shows the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم turning a hard day into a reminder of the life to come.
