حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلاَّمُ بْنُ أَبِي مُطِيعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ، عَنْ جُنْدَبٍ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ مَا ائْتَلَفَتْ عَلَيْهِ قُلُوبُكُمْ فَإِذَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ فَقُومُوا عَنْهُ ". تَابَعَهُ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَأَبَانُ. وَقَالَ غُنْدَرٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ سَمِعْتُ جُنْدَبًا قَوْلَهُ. وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ عَنْ عُمَرَ قَوْلَهُ، وَجُنْدَبٌ أَصَحُّ وَأَكْثَرُ.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Recite (and study) the Qur'an as long as you agree about its interpretation, but when you have any difference of opinion (as regards its interpretation and meaning) then you should stop reciting it (for the time being)'

Summary of Sahih Bukhari Hadith 5061
This Hadith repeats a simple but serious teaching about Qur'an recitation and study. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said to recite the Qur'an as long as the hearts are in agreement about it. When disagreement begins about its interpretation and meaning, the instruction is to get up from it for the time being. This is a gentle way to protect the respect of the Qur'an and the peace of the people studying it. A hadith about Quran disagreement is not telling people to ignore learning. It teaches that learning needs patience and manners. If a study circle becomes tense, stopping can be wiser than pushing the argument further. The Qur'an is guidance, and its study should not break hearts.
