Summary of Sahih Bukhari Hadith 5293
This tawaf on camel hadith reports that Allah's Messenger performed tawaf around the Kabah while riding his camel. Each time he came to the corner of the Black Stone, he pointed toward it with his hand and said Allahu Akbar. The narration gives a clear picture of an action during tawaf: pointing and saying takbir at the corner. The same report also includes Zainab's statement that the Prophet mentioned an opening in the wall of Gog and Magog and formed the number ninety with his fingers. These are two reported details in the text, and they should not be mixed into one meaning. For readers searching for tawaf pointing to Black Stone hadith, the first part is the main focus.
What we learn from this hadith
- The Prophet performed tawaf while riding his camel in this report.
- He pointed to the corner and said Allahu Akbar.
- The narration also preserves a separate statement about Gog and Magog.
- Different details in one report should be explained without mixing them.
