Bulugh al-MaramHadith Number 760
وَعَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ اَلْمَدِينَةُ حَرَمٌ مَا بَيْنَ عَيْرٍ إِلَى ثَوْرٍ } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ .
'Ali bin Abi Talib Narrated from:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Madinah is a Haram (Sanctuary) and its Sacred Precincts extend from ’Air to Thawr (the names of two mountains).” Related by Muslim.
- صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 6755 )، ومسلم ( 1370 )، ولا أدري سبب اقتصار الحافظ في عزوه للحديث على صحيح مسلم إلا أن يكون من باب السهو. وقد أثير حول هذا الحديث بعض الإشكالات، فأحسن الحافظ -رحمه الله- في الجواب عنها، انظر " الفتح " ( 4 / 82 - 83 ).Reference: : Bulugh al-Maram 741 | In-book reference: : Book 6, Hadith 34 | English translation: : Book 6, Hadith 760
