What causes intoxication in large amounts, a small amount of it is (also) unlawful

Sunan Ibn MajahHadith Number 3393

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، حَدَّثَنِي دَاوُدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَا أَسْكَرَ كَثِيرُهُ فَقَلِيلُهُ حَرَامٌ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whatever causes intoxication in large amounts, a small amount of it is (also) unlawful.”
