Inscriptions on rings

Sunan Ibn MajahHadith Number 3640

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ اصْطَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ خَاتَمًا فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنَّا قَدِ اصْطَنَعْنَا خَاتَمًا وَنَقَشْنَا فِيهِ نَقْشًا فَلاَ يَنْقُشَنَّ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had a ring made for him, and he said: ‘I have had a ring made for me and had it engraved, and no one should make a ring with similar engraving.’”
