Sunan Ibn MajahHadith Number 3736

Jabir Narrated from:

The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: "Call yourselves by my name but do not call yourselves by my Kunyah."

[1] Kunyah : Calling a man, 'O father of so-and-so!' or calling 'woman, 'O mother of so-and-so!' This is a custom of the Arabs.Reference : Sunan Ibn Majah 3736In-book reference : Book 33, Hadith 80English translation : Vol. 5, Book 33, Hadith 3736
