حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو زُمَيْلٍ، - هُوَ سِمَاكٌ - عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " الأَكْثَرُونَ هُمُ الأَسْفَلُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلاَّ مَنْ قَالَ بِالْمَالِ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَكَسَبَهُ مِنْ طَيِّبٍ " .
Abu Dharr Narrated from:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The wealthiest will be the lowest on the Day of Resurrection, except those who do such and such with their money, and earn it from good sources.”

Summary of Sunan Ibn Majah Hadith 4130
This hadith gives two clear points about wealth. The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said that the wealthiest will be the lowest on the Day of Resurrection, except those who do such and such with their money and earn it from good sources. The hadith about halal earnings and charity connects both sides: how wealth is gained and how it is used. It is not enough in this wording for a person simply to possess much. The exception is tied to spending and good sources of income. The message is balanced. Wealth can become a burden, but it can also be handled in a better way when earned cleanly and used for giving.
