Al-Lu'lu Wal-Marjan 1791 — The Book About the Characteristics of the Hypocrites and Orders Concerning Them.
The example of a believer is that of a green plant, and the example of a disbeliever is like a pine tree.

حديث كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، قَالَ: مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَالْخَامَةِ مِنَ الزَّرْعِ، تُفَيِّئُهَا الرِّيحُ مَرَّةً، وَتَعْدِلُهَا مَرَّةً وَمَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ كَالأَرْزَةِ، لَا تَزَالُ، حَتَّى يَكُونَ انْجِعَافُهَا مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً.
Ka'b bin Malik Narrated from:
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "The example of a believer is that of a fresh tender plant, which the wind bends sometimes and at other times it makes it straight. And the example of a hypocrite is that of a pine tree which keeps straight till once it is uprooted suddenly." ( Sahîh Al-Bukhâri, Hadîth No. 546, Vol. 7)
