Shaqiq Narrated from:

‘Abdallah b. Mas'ud used to exhort the people every Thursday. A man said, “ I wish, Abu ‘Abd ar-Rahman [This is Ibn Mas`ud’s kunya], that you would give us a daily exhortation.” He replied, “My dislike of wearying you prevents me from that, so I am considerate in my exhortations to you as God’s messenger was to us for fear of causing us aversion.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

[2] He was a tabi'I His kunayah Abu Wa'il. He died in Hajjaj's times or in 99AH.[3] Bukhari # 68, Muslim # 83, 2821, Tirmidhi # 2864, (in brief). Musnad Ahmad 1-378.Reference : Mishkat al-Masabih 207In-book reference : Book 2, Hadith 10
