Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 3886
وَعَن السَّائِب بْنِ يَزِيدَ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ دِرْعَانِ قَدْ ظَاهَرَ بَيْنَهُمَا. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ
As-Sa'ib bin Yazid Narrated from:
The Prophet wore two coats of mail at the battle of Uhud as a double protection. Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it.
