Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 5156
وَعَنِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: «وَاللَّهِ مَا الدُّنْيَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا مِثْلُ مَا يجعلُ أحدُكم إصبعَه فِي اليمِّ فَلْينْظر بِمَ يرجع» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
Mustawrid ibn Shaddad Narrated from:
Sayyiduna Mustawrid ibn Shaddad رضي الله عنه narrated that he heard Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم say, "By Allah, this world in relation to the hereafter is not but like one of you putting his finger into the sea. Then, he must see what it has returned with." [1]
