Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 5253

Anas Narrated from:

Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "I was threatened in Allah's path as no one was threatened and I was persecuted in Allah's path as no one was persecuted. There came upon me thirty days and nights when Bilal and I had no food that 'those with a liver' may eat barring what was held under Bilal's armpit." [1] While transmitting it, Tirmidhi explained the hadith (tradition) to mean that when the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم went of Makkah fed up, Bilal accompanied him carrying whatever he could under his armpit.
