Not Fitting for Allah's Slaves to Live Lavishly

Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 5262
وَعَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَمَّا بَعَثَ بِهِ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ قَالَ: «إِيَّاكَ وَالتَّنَعُّمَ فَإِنَّ عِبَادَ الله لَيْسُوا بالمتنعمين» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد
Sayyiduna Mu'adh ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه narrated tht when Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم sent him to Yemen (as a judge), he advised him, "Do not live a life of comfort and luxury because Allah's (exclusive) slaves do not live lavishly."
