Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 5394
وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّمَا أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي الْأَئِمَّةَ الْمُضِلِّينَ وَإِذَا وُضِعَ السَّيْفُ فِي أُمَّتِي لَمْ يُرْفَعْ عَنْهُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد والترمذيُّ
Thawban Narrated from:
I fear for my people only the leaders who lead men astray, for when the sword is used among my people it will not be withdrawn from them till the day of resurrection. Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi transmitted it.
