حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الأَزْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، حَدَّثَنِي شَقِيقٌ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ، امْرَأَةِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ . قَالَ فَذَكَرْتُ لإِبْرَاهِيمَ فَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ أَبِي عَبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ زَيْنَبَ امْرَأَةِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ . بِمِثْلِهِ سَوَاءً قَالَ قَالَتْ كُنْتُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَرَآنِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " تَصَدَّقْنَ وَلَوْ مِنْ حُلِيِّكُنَّ " . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ .
Zainab Narrated from:
I was in the mosque and the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) saw me and said: Give Sadaqa even though it is out of your jewellery. The rest of the hadith is the same.

This Hadith about women giving sadaqa carries the same meaning as the report of Zainab, the wife of Abdullah. In this wording, Zainab says she was in the mosque when the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم saw her and told her to give sadaqa, even from her jewellery. The rest of the report follows the same meaning: the question was whether charity given to husbands and orphans under their care would count. The answer given by the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was that they would receive two rewards, the reward of kinship and the reward of sadaqa. The Hadith makes family-based charity clear and meaningful.
