Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 1097b
This narration says that the same hadith was transmitted on the authority of Qatada. The translation does not add a new action or ruling, so the core meaning remains the same as the previous report: suhur was taken with the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم, then they stood for prayer, with a short time between the two. The earlier report describes that time as about the span of reciting fifty verses. This hadith is useful because it confirms the transmission of the same suhur timing teaching. It keeps the focus on a balanced fasting routine: eating before dawn and then moving toward prayer without a long delay.
What we learn from this hadith
- This narration supports the report about suhur timing.
- The text does not introduce a separate ruling or event.
- The central lesson remains taking suhur close to the time of prayer.
