Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 1189a
This Hadith reports a personal action of A'isha with the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم. She says she applied perfume to him before he entered the state of Ihram, and also at the conclusion before he circumambulated the Sacred House. The narration is short, so the explanation should stay close to it. It does not discuss every rule of perfume in Ihram; it only reports what A'isha did for the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم at two times: before entering Ihram and before Tawaf after concluding it. For readers searching for perfume before Ihram hadith, this narration gives a clear wording from A'isha. It also shows that the timing of perfume matters in the report: before Ihram and before the circumambulation mentioned.
What we learn from this hadith
- A'isha applied perfume to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم before Ihram.
- She also applied perfume after he concluded Ihram before Tawaf.
