Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 1408b
This narration from Abu Huraira says that Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم forbade combining four women in marriage: a woman with her father's sister, and a woman with her mother's sister. The wording means the pairings are not allowed to be joined together in marriage at the same time. It is a focused marriage rule, not a general discussion about every family relation. For readers looking for Islamic marriage rules about aunts, this hadith gives a direct answer. It also repeats the same core teaching found in nearby narrations: the paternal aunt and maternal aunt are both named in the prohibition.

- The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم forbade combining these family pairings in marriage.
- The father's sister is specifically mentioned.
