Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 151d
This hadith about another chain of transmitters is mainly a narration note. It does not give a new story or a separate ruling in the translation. Instead, it tells us that the same meaning was reported through Zuhri by another route of narration. For readers searching for hadith chain transmission, this kind of report is useful because it shows how a hadith was preserved through more than one path. The wording points to “the meaning of the hadith of Yunus from Zuhri,” so the focus stays on transmission, not on adding a new lesson beyond the report itself. A simple way to read it is this: the narrator is recording that the same hadith meaning reached him through a different chain.
What we learn from this hadith
- Some hadith entries preserve the chain even when the wording is brief.
- A second chain can show that the same meaning was transmitted through another route.
- This report should not be treated as a separate story because the translation gives only a transmission note.
