Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 1552e

This report is about hadith transmission and supporting chains. It says the hadith was transmitted through Abu Muawiya with a slight change of words. The Arabic text also points to different narrations through al-A'mash from Abu Sufyan from Jabir, with some reports mentioning Umm Mubashshir and others mentioning the wife of Zaid b. Harithah. The key point is that all of them reported from the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) in a wording similar to the earlier reports about planting and charity. So the core topic remains the hadith about planting trees as charity, while this specific entry mainly records how the report came through different narrators with small wording differences.

What we learn from this hadith

  • Hadith transmitters recorded slight wording differences carefully.
  • The report supports the same basic meaning as the earlier planting-charity narrations.
  • Different chains may mention different wording while preserving the main report.
  • This entry shows care in noting who narrated and how the wording varied.
