Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 1554c
This hadith about deduction for calamity is narrated by Jabir. It reports that Allah's Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) commanded the placing down of losses caused by calamities. In simple terms, the provided translation says he commanded that deductions be made in the payment of what was stricken by a calamity. The core topic is fairness when produce is damaged. The report is brief, so the explanation should stay brief in meaning too. It does not give every detail of how much is deducted in every case. It clearly shows that when a calamity hits the produce, the loss is not ignored in the payment matter.
