حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لاِبْنِ رَافِعٍ - قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ ابْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جُنْدُبَ بْنَ سُفْيَانَ، يَقُولُ اشْتَكَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَمْ يَقُمْ لَيْلَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثًا فَجَاءَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنِّي لأَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونَ شَيْطَانُكَ قَدْ تَرَكَكَ لَمْ أَرَهُ قَرِبَكَ مُنْذُ لَيْلَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثٍ قَالَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { وَالضُّحَى * وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَى * مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى}
Jundub bin Sufyan Narrated from:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) fell ill and did not wake up for two or three nights (for prayers) A woman came to him and said: Muhammad, I hope that your satan has left you. I haven't seen him approach you for two or three nights. The narrator says: At this, Allah, the Glorious and Exalted, revealed:" By the Glorious......"

Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 1797b
This Hadith gives another wording of the Surah Duha event. Jundub b. Sufyan said the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم fell ill and did not get up for two or three nights. A woman came and mocked him, saying she hoped his satan had left him because she had not seen him approach for two or three nights. Then Allah revealed, “By the Glorious...” meaning the opening of Surah Duha, which says the Lord had not forsaken him. Searches such as Sahih Muslim 1797b, Surah Duha revelation hadith, and your satan has left you hadith point to this narration. The text shows hurtful speech being answered by Allah’s words, not by a long argument.
What we learn from this hadith
