Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 1833c
Sahih Muslim 1833c is another brief narration of the same report from 'Adi b. 'Amira al-Kindi. It says that he heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم say what was narrated in the previous hadith. So the core topic is still public trust and misappropriation in Islam. The linked report warns that a person appointed to a position must not hide even a small thing from what belongs to the assignment. The practical meaning is plain: leadership is not a chance to take hidden benefits. It is a trust that should be returned openly, whether the matter is small or large. Readers searching for a hadith about public funds can take from this version that careful transmission kept the same warning clear.
What we learn from this hadith
- The narration carries the same warning from 'Adi b. 'Amira al-Kindi.
- Authority is treated as a trust, not a private gain.
- Small hidden items are not ignored in the linked report.
- Honest work means bringing forward what belongs to the assignment.
