Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2082c
This hadith is another report through Hisham b. Urwa, with a slight wording difference. It refers to the Prophet’s صلى الله عليه وسلم sleeping place and says, in the wording of Abu Mu’awiya, that he slept on it. The main search idea is hadith about the Prophet’s bedding, and the core topic is simple bedding. Since the translation mainly tells us that the wording varies, we should explain it carefully. It supports the same general report about the place on which the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم slept, without giving a new long event. The lesson is in careful reading: hadith narrations may come through more than one chain with small wording differences, while keeping the same basic point.
What we learn from this hadith
- The narration supports the report about the Prophet’s صلى الله عليه وسلم sleeping place.
- Slight wording differences are noted honestly in hadith transmission.
- The report should be read with care and without added details.
- Simple bedding remains the main topic connected to this narration.
