Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2209a
This Hadith is about fever and water. Ibn Umar reports that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said fever is from the vehement raging heat of Hell, so it should be cooled with water. People often search for this as the hadith about fever from Hell or the hadith about cooling fever with water. The narration gives one clear instruction in the wording: cool it with water. It does not give a long medical guide, a list of symptoms, or a full treatment plan. So the safe way to explain it is to stay with the text. The Hadith links fever with a strong image of heat and then gives a simple response: use water for cooling.
