Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2246e
This hadith about not cursing Time is short and easy to remember. Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Do not curse Time, for it is Allah Who is Time.” The wording teaches Muslims to be careful with common complaints. A person may feel angry at a bad day or a hard season, but the hadith tells us not to turn that feeling into cursing Time. It does not ask us to deny pain. It teaches us to choose words that do not cross the line. According to Islamic scholars, the meaning is tied to Allah’s command over what happens in time. So the believer’s speech should stay respectful.
What we learn from this hadith
- Do not curse Time in anger or sadness.
- Careful speech is part of good manners with Allah.
- The hadith teaches restraint in daily complaints.
- A hard day is not a reason to use careless words.
