Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2263c
This short narration highlights the phrase, “When the time draws near,” and says the rest of the hadith is the same. Because the text itself does not repeat every detail here, the explanation should not add more than what is stated. The main point is that this report preserves the wording about a later time when a Muslim’s vision is connected with truthfulness. It is part of the wider dream teaching in the surrounding wording, but this record itself is careful and brief. For readers searching for the hadith about dreams near the end time, the key phrase is the one preserved here. It shows how some narrations record a wording difference while keeping the same teaching.
What we learn from this hadith
- The phrase “When the time draws near” is the main wording preserved here.
- The report says the rest of the hadith is the same, so added claims should be avoided.
- The narration points readers back to the same dream teaching without expanding it.
- Careful wording matters when reading repeated hadith reports.
