Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2264a
This believer’s vision hadith is short, but its message is clear. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم says that the vision of a believer is the forty-sixth part of Prophecy. The narration does not explain how to interpret every dream, nor does it say that every dream should be acted upon. It gives a high value to the vision of a believer while keeping the wording brief. For readers searching for “dream part of prophecy hadith,” this report is a direct statement on the rank of such a vision. The best way to read it is with care: the hadith honors the believer’s vision, but it does not turn personal dreams into new revelation or independent rules.
What we learn from this hadith
- The vision of a believer is described as a forty-sixth part of Prophecy.
- The wording is brief and should not be stretched beyond the text.
- The hadith gives honor to a believer’s vision without explaining dream interpretation.
- A short narration can carry a strong teaching when read carefully.
