حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ لَمَّا مَاتَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَاءَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ مَالٌ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْعَلاَءِ بْنِ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم دَيْنٌ أَوْ كَانَتْ لَهُ قِبَلَهُ عِدَةٌ فَلْيَأْتِنَا . بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ .
Jabir bin `Abdullah Narrated from:
When Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) died, there came to Abu Bakr wealth from al-'Ala' b. al-Hadrami. Abu Bakr said: He to whom Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) owed any debt or held out any promise should come to us; the rest of the hadith is the same.

Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2314b
This narration continues the same teaching about honoring promises and debts. After Allah's Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) passed away, wealth came to Abu Bakr from al-Ala b. al-Hadrami. Abu Bakr did not treat that wealth as something to use without checking people's rights first. He announced that anyone to whom the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) owed a debt, or anyone who had been promised something by him, should come forward. The rest of the Hadith is the same as the report of Jabir. This makes the message very clear: a promise connected to someone's right matters, even after the one who made it has passed away. The Hadith also shows fairness, public trust, and the careful conduct of Abu Bakr with wealth.
