Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2526b
This hadith variation supports the report that begins with "you will find people like mines." It says the narration came through other chains, and the chain of Abu Zur'a has a slight wording difference. The key variation mentioned is about finding among the best people in this matter the one who most strongly dislikes it until it falls upon him. This points to a careful view of authority. The hadith does not praise chasing position. Rather, it points to people who are reluctant before responsibility reaches them. The report also remains connected to the larger message about people having different qualities, the value of understanding, and the warning against the double-faced person found in the full related wording.
What we learn from this hadith
- This narration supports the hadith about people being like mines.
- It highlights reluctance toward authority before responsibility comes.
- The wording difference is recorded carefully by the transmitters.
