Abu Barzah Narrated from:
Abu Barza reported that he said to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ): Allah's Messenger, I do not know whether I would survive after you, so confer upon me something by which Allah should benefit me. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Do this and that and remove the troublesome things from the paths.

Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2618b
This hadith about removing harm from the road shows Abu Barza asking for something by which Allah would benefit him. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم mentioned some words that one narrator forgot, and then said to remove harmful things from the path. The preserved part is enough to show a clear lesson: caring for public paths is a good deed. The narration connects benefit from Allah with a practical action that helps people. It is not only about private worship. It also teaches a person to look at the road, notice what may cause trouble, and remove it when able. That is a simple way to serve others.
