Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2826b
This vast shade of Jannah hadith is another narration from Abu Huraira. It repeats the report about a tree in Paradise under whose shade a rider can travel for a hundred years. This version adds the words that he will not be able to cover the distance. The addition makes the picture even clearer: the tree's shade is not only long, it is beyond what the rider can fully cross in that period. The hadith about the tree in Paradise points to the greatness of Allah's reward. It gives a small glimpse of Jannah using a simple image people can understand, while still showing that Paradise is far beyond normal worldly limits.
