Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2834b
This hadith about Paradise is a short report that points back to the same meaning narrated from Abu Huraira. The wording says that men and women disputed or discussed which group would be more in Paradise. They asked Abu Huraira, and he answered by reporting from Abu al-Qasim صلى الله عليه وسلم with the same content as the narration of Ibn Ulayyah. Since this report mainly records another chain of transmission, its focus is preservation and confirmation of the same teaching. It shows that the description of the people of Paradise was not left as a loose statement. It was carried through narrators and repeated with care. The reader should understand it as a supporting route for the previous description.
What we learn from this hadith
- The report preserves the same teaching through another chain of transmitters.
- The people asked Abu Huraira when they discussed people in Paradise.
- The narration points to careful transmission rather than adding a new separate description.
