Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2843b
This narration is a related wording of the Hellfire hadith reported from Abu Huraira through another chain. The text says it is like the report of Abu al-Zinad, except that it uses the wording, "all of them like its heat." Since this hadith mainly records a slight variation of wording, the safe explanation is simple: it supports the same teaching that the Fire of Hell is far stronger than the fire known in this world. It also shows care in preserving exact words in hadith narration. For readers searching for the hadith about fire being one-seventieth of Hell, this report helps show that the meaning came through another route with a small difference in phrasing, not a new separate story.
What we learn from this hadith
- This narration preserves a slight wording difference from another chain.
- It supports the same teaching about the great heat of Hellfire.
- The report shows the care taken in transmitting hadith wording.
- The main message remains tied to the comparison between worldly fire and Hellfire.
