Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2844b
This report gives another wording of the hadith about the stone in Hell. It comes with the same chain, but the wording says that it reached the lowest part of Hell and the people heard its sound. The meaning stays close to the previous narration: a sound was heard, and the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم explained that it was connected to a stone reaching the base of Hell after a long fall. This is a Hellfire hadith about the depth of Jahannam and the reality of what Allah's Messenger Since the report is a wording variation, it should not be stretched into extra claims. Its lesson is direct: the unseen matters of the Hereafter are serious, and the Prophet's explanation gives the sound its meaning.
