Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2887b
This entry is mainly about transmission. It says the hadith was transmitted through Waki' with a slight wording variation, and it notes that one version ended at the words about escape if one is able. So the core meaning remains connected to the previous fitnah report: do not run toward turmoil, stay away from armed conflict, and seek a way out if possible. For readers searching for Sahih Muslim 2887b explanation, the important point is that this narration does not introduce a separate teaching. It records how the report came through another route and where that route stopped. The warning about avoiding fitnah remains the center of the passage.
What we learn from this hadith
- A wording variation may preserve only part of a longer report.
- The core warning remains avoiding involvement in fitnah.
- The phrase about escape stays central in this shorter route.
- Transmission notes help readers see how narrations are preserved.
