Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2963b
This report is another chain of the same teaching from Abu Huraira. Its message matches the hadith about gratitude and comparison. A person may see others who have more money, better looks, or a stronger outward condition. That sight can stir sadness or envy if the heart is not trained. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) taught believers to also look at those who have less in these same areas. This does not mean looking down on people. It means using comparison in a way that wakes up gratitude instead of feeding complaint. The Hadith gives a practical cure for feeling deprived: remember the blessings already present in your life.
What we learn from this hadith
- Gratitude grows when a person notices blessings already given.
- The Hadith gives a practical response to unhealthy comparison.
- Seeing those with less should lead to thankfulness, not pride.
- The same teaching is preserved through another chain of narration.
