Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2981b
This Hadith is a short transmission note. It says the same report was narrated through the same chain, but with a slight wording change. The wording mentions that the people drew water from its wells and kneaded dough with it. So the main focus remains the Hadith about Hijr wells and the Prophet’s صلى الله عليه وسلم instruction connected to the land of Thamud. Since this narration does not repeat the full story in the translation, the safest way to understand it is as a supporting version of the previous report. It helps preserve the wording of the narration and shows how Hadith reports can come with small wording differences while keeping the same core meaning.
What we learn from this hadith
- Some Hadith reports preserve small wording differences.
- This narration supports the report about water from the wells of Hijr.
- The wording points to both drawing water and kneading dough with it.
