A'isha Narrated from:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) took a bath from the vessel (which contained seven to eight seers, i. e. fifteen to sixteen pounds) of water And I and he (the Holy Prophet) took a bath from the same vessel. Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 319b
This Hadith centers on ghusl from one vessel. Aisha reports that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم took a bath from a vessel described as al-Faraq, and she also said that she and he took a bath from the same vessel. The narration adds wording from another route, saying “from one vessel,” and includes a note that al-Faraq is three Sa'. For people searching for hadith about husband and wife bathing from the same vessel, this report is direct and clear. It does not describe a full ghusl method. Its main teaching is that the bath after janabah happened using one container, with both of them using the water from it.
What we learn from this hadith
- Aisha reported that she and the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم used one vessel for ghusl.
- The narration mentions the vessel measure known as al-Faraq.
- The text focuses on shared water, not a full list of ghusl steps.
- Different wording in the report supports the same main meaning: one vessel.
