Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 3564
This short hadith about the Prophet’s love of horses reports a personal preference described by Anas. He says that, after women, nothing was dearer to the Messenger of Allah than horses. The wording is brief and does not explain the reasons for that affection. It also does not list any rules about owning, riding, breeding, or caring for horses. Its message is simply that horses held a special place among the things the Prophet loved. Readers looking for a hadith about horses should keep the statement within those limits. The report gives a clear comparison and no more. A careful explanation respects that brevity instead of attaching wider claims or details that the narration itself does not mention.
What we learn from this hadith
- Horses were especially dear to the Messenger of Allah.
- The narration places this affection after his love of women.
- The hadith is a report of preference, not a detailed ruling.
- Its brief wording should not be expanded with unsupported reasons.
