A'isha Narrated from:
I noticed that the Messenger of Allah was not there one night, and I thought that he had gone to one of his other wives. I looked for him then I came back, and there he was, bowing or prostrating and saying: 'Subhanaka wa bi hamdika la ilaha illa anta (Glory and praise be to You, there is none worthy of worship but You).' I said: 'May my father and mother be sacrificed for you; you were doing one thing and I was thinking of something else.'

Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 3962
This narration presents the same night prayer lesson in a slightly different wording. Aishah noticed that the Messenger of Allah was absent and thought he had gone to one of his other wives. She searched, returned, and then found him bowing or prostrating. He was saying, "Subhanaka wa bi hamdika la ilaha illa anta," a short dhikr that joins glorification, praise, and the declaration that only Allah deserves worship. Aishah then recognized the gap between what the Prophet was doing and what she had imagined. The hadith encourages a reader to focus on the actual words and actions in the report: worship at night, remembrance during prayer, and a mistaken assumption corrected by direct discovery. It does not add any wider ruling beyond that scene.
What we learn from this hadith
- Glorification and praise of Allah belong in sincere worship.
- A person should correct an assumption when clear evidence appears.
- The Prophet remembered Allah while bowing or prostrating at night.
