Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 4006
This hadith focuses on the order of revelation of two Qur'anic passages. Zaid bin Thabit says that the verse, whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, was revealed six months after the verse in Surah Al-Furqan. The report does not provide a long explanation or a complete legal discussion. Its value lies in the timing it records. That sequence matters within the narration because it places the strong warning about intentionally killing a believer after the Al-Furqan passage. The core topic is therefore the chronology of revelation and the seriousness of deliberate murder. Readers should stay with what this report actually states: Zaid gives a six-month interval. It should not be expanded into claims that the narration itself does not make.
What we learn from this hadith
- The report gives a specific six-month order between two related revelations.
- The later verse named here contains a severe warning about intentional killing.
- Knowing the order of revelation can help readers understand why the narrator compared the verses.
- The narration itself does not provide a full ruling beyond the chronology it states.
