Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 4986

This hadith about the best deeds in Islam gives a fuller answer than the previous report. Abdullah bin Hubshi Al-Khathami narrates that the Prophet was asked, Which deed is best? He answered with three matters: faith in which there is no doubt, jihad in which there is no Ghulul, and Hajjatun Mabrur. The core message is that faith should be firm, actions should be clean from betrayal, and Hajj should be accepted and sound. According to Islamic scholars, Ghulul refers to betrayal or taking unlawfully from spoils, but the wording here simply says no Ghulul. The hadith points to sincerity, trust, and worship done in the right way.

What we learn from this hadith

  • Faith is praised when it is free from doubt.
  • Jihad is mentioned with the condition that it has no Ghulul.
  • Hajjatun Mabrur is listed among the best deeds in this narration.
