Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 5141
This hadith about large gold rings is a short report, but it carries the same serious tone as the fuller narration before it. The daughter of Hubairah came to the Messenger of Allah SAW with large gold rings on her hand. The wording says it was a similar report, so the focus remains on gold adornment and the Prophet's warning against treating it lightly. The message is not about mocking beauty or denying normal care in appearance. It is about listening when the Prophet SAW warns that an item of adornment may carry harm. A Muslim learns to place obedience and safety before love of jewelry or public display.
What we learn from this hadith
- The report draws attention to large gold rings as a matter the Prophet SAW warned about.
- Brief narrations can still carry a clear teaching when linked to a fuller report.
- Adornment should not be loved more than the Prophet's guidance.
- Correction should lead a believer to review what they wear and why they wear it.
